I am Al-Shaif Sultan Nasser, from Yemen, one of the students who studied at the Novocherkassk Engineering and Land Reclamation Institute named after A.K. Kortunova. It was a successful trip and a wonderful 5 months training. I learned some important things, when I came to a new country where I was studying the language. The institute staff was very good in their relations with the students, and this made me feel like I'm at home with my family and not in a foreign country. I even remember that I needed an advice on my specialty, so I went to the head of the international department and he showed me the way. I was very grateful to him. Also, I was very pleased with the university dormitory. I had many friends there. Russian friends were in the same hostel where I lived. This is a dorm number 3. Also, I missed the head of this hostel, Valentina Petrovna. She was like a mother to us. We even communicated after graduation. I miss that beautiful weather, similar to the weather in Yemen. It's much better than the weather in this cold city of Kirov. As for the trip to the Kochetov hydroelectric complex - Istok 1 it was great. Istok-1 is a reclamation facility.
We went out of town and experienced nice weather and fresh air. That was a cure for spirit and mind. We watched these large and broad fields, and large cargo ships. I hope the university will be organizing such kind of trips for the foreign students in future.
As for participation in the activities of the institute, I really liked it. I really loved such events. It helps to develop students' personality and increase their confidence. Especially if these are public peaches. I support actions that help the student to rely on and trust him, the teachers were very kind and excellent, helped us master the language, and as a result, I can speak Russian with confidence while it was a difficult obstacle. Thank you.
A language barrier was difficult thing to overcome, but we managed.
I would like to thank my teachers from the bottom of my heart for everything in my review. Teachers helped me at a time when I knew nothing about the new country, and with their help I learned a lot that needs to be done. I will not forget this help and skill you taught me, and I hope you will forgive me if I have made any mistakes. Please accept my thanks and I would like to greet you with sincere friendliness and respect.

We are Sri Lankan students, Mahaduraj Khiruni Udeshik Jayasekar and Bamunugama Koralalage Ashan Kharshana. We remember the first day of our stay at the Russian institute. We want to tell that NIMI is a very nice institute, because there are very kind, wonderful teachers work here.
We love our teachers. Sidnenko Maria taught us Russian very well, she is very and and always ready to help . NIMI is a really good institution. It has a wonderful international department. They have helped us in solving emerging life issues, and guided us to take part in various international student events.
In December 2019, we took part in the international culture festival. We presented traditional dishes and put on Sri Lankan traditional clothes. This festival gave us a good experience, we got acquainted and communicated with students from different countries, each country demonstrated national dances and dishes.

First of all, I want to express my gratitude to our dean's office and teachers of our university for their attentive attitude towards foreign (not only) students, and sincere desire to teach and give their knowledge.
I also would like to express my gratitude to the head of the department for work with foreign students Mr. A.V. Leshchenko and his team. I could contact them at any time and they always helped me.
Four years of study were interesting, challenging and rewarding. I can say with confidence that I received knowledge exactly to the extent that I need it for work. The institute has an excellent scientific and technical base, which allows you to create all the necessary conditions for brilliant educational results. Lecturers from other universities often come with their lectures. But everything depends on the student himself.
I want to say to all those who are now choosing a university for further education: you will not regret if you go to study at NIMI. I will remember the years of study at the institute with a special warm feeling. I am sure that I will find a good job after graduation, thanks to the high level of knowledge that I have received at the institute.

I, Knysh Sergey Andreevich, a full-time student of Novocherkassk Engineering and Reclamation Institute named after A.K. Kortunova. I'm from Uzbekistan
For me, as a citizen of another country, it was very interesting to visit Russian universities. Therefore, I was very glad that I passed the competition and got scholarship to study at a Forestry department. I am grateful for this opportunity, and for giving chances to students from other countries to get higher education in one of the leading universities in the Rostov region free of charge.
The Forestry department met all foreigners, including me, with warmth and kindness, as a person, who doesn't know the principles of a new society. I was impressed by the honesty, openness and care from the teachers, that i experienced while studying. Lesfak, as we call our department, has become our home, and every year the training becomes more difficult, but much, much more interesting. I remember our dean S.N. Kruzhilin at the first meeting. He told us that specialists graduating from our faculty, when they go out into the city, should look at it not as ordinary passers-by, but as landscape architects. For example, looking at the tree, a passer-by will say that it is just a tree, maybe a beautiful and large tree , but a landscape architect will say that this is a Norway Maple or Smooth Elm, and can spell its Latin name. It means that students, who graduate from our university are specialists of a high category. I respect NIMI very much for that. You can step on a new life path here, you become a person who can do something worthy not only the whole city but also the whole country!

I am a first year student. I like studying. The university motivates and guides us well in the right direction. The system of work with foreign students is very pleasing .The university management team and the department of work with foreign students are very nice and helpful. Leisure is also provided - a modern gym with modern exercise equipment meets all modern requirements. It is located next to the student dormitories where we live. Leisure is provided by the social department - which includes the Student teams, the Trade Union Committee. I am glad to study at NIMI.
